How to drive tons of qualified traffic to your site.… Free!

It is a well known fact that, traffic is the life-blood of any business, online or offline.
Getting quality and targeted traffic to your website or blog should not cost you a fortune, in fact it might not cost you a dime if you know the secrets. Whether you own a website or a blog, driving targeted visitors to your site shouldn’t be so hard. Be you a store owner, an affiliate marketer, corporate entity, you need targeted traffic in order to make headway and to be successful online, just like in every mortar and brick business.

The following ways are fool-proof strategies;

• One very important way to start out is having a blog(s). Blogging is one of the most important aspect of marketing online these days. There’s hardly any website without a blog of its own, show-casing goods and or services, latest developments, new product(s) and or service(s). And because blogs are often updated quite frequently, ease of navigation amongst other qualities, the search engines love them so much. The more often you update, the more the search engine spiders frequent your posts (blog).

• There is a new phenomenon taking the net by storm and it’s called “Blogrush”. Register for free, refer some friends, put the widget on your blog(s) and you start getting good traffic to your blog.

• Also register and use mybloglog community to spread the word about your blog(s).

• Use blog directories and blog search engines to announce your blog(s) or any update to it. www.Pingomatic.com and www.Pingmyblog.com are good for such listings.

• Article writing and syndication is also very effective for free advertising. After writing your articles you could submit to numerous article directories (you might need a software for that) or ezines and include your site’s URL in the resource box and also the terms of re-printing your articles. It’s best to have your URL intact in the re-published articles. If you don’t know how to write checkout public domains or better still, use Private Label Right articles to render a more unique tone. Make sure to write compelling headlines!

• Always visit Forums that fit your niche market and include your URL in your signature file, even in the emails that you send to your prospects. Try asking questions or responding to questions and interact with other forum members, in order to gain their confidence.

• In order to get people really interested, it is advised that you offer some form of freebie. The good thing is, you could give this in exchange for their email addresses to build your opt-in list, or for them to share your article with their friends.

• Write press releases, especially on news worthy happenings in your niche industry, so that publishers can link to you to get the full scoop.

• Reciprocal linking is very important. You get high ranking sites in the same or similar niche to link to you and vice-versa. You can have a good idea of high traffic sites by using the search function on Alexa.com

• Join good traffic and banner exchange sites.

• Track where your visitors are coming from in order to put more effort into that source of traffic.

• Always follow-up on your prospects.

• Encourage your site visitors to bookmark your site so that they can easily find your site again and again.

• Advertise on free advertising websites.

• Visit social bookmarking and networking sites like digg.com, netscape.com, reddit.com, del.icio.us, stumbleupon, spurl, furl and myspace and facebook.

• Register, tag and claim your blog on Technorati.com

• Squidoo.com is another free traffic-sourcing website.

• Write solo email ads (you can Google it).

• And most of, avail yourself of the versatility of Web 2.0!

In all, utilizing the full potential of your traffic or customers is what determines the success or otherwise of your business. Always offer them the best you’ve got. Doing some or all of these tips could turn out to be very helpful.
